Founder of Absolute Health, Laura is certified as a Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor, and Health Coach. After suffering ill health herself and bouncing back, she is deeply passionate about educating people how to prosper in good health through movement and nutritious food.

My Mission

My mission as your trainer, Pilates instructor, and health coach is to guide, support, and empower you to create lifelong habits that will aid you on your journey to your ultimate wealth: your health!

​

My broader mission is to send a message to the food and pharmaceutical industries that we no longer want what they’re selling: convenient foods that makes us sick, and drugs to alleviate symptoms from that same food. It a vicious circle that ends with our health, and the health of our families as the price. Together, let’s create a cultural movement towards health and wellness being the default, not the exception.

Coaching accidentally became my passion.

 

In 2021, I was walking on the beach when quite suddenly, I couldn’t put any, I mean ANY weight on my left leg because it caused me so much pain. I didn’t imagine I would stop walking for 4 months at the age of 48. I thought I had more time before my body started breaking down!

 

During the pandemic, I sat around crocheting, eating, and drinking my way to Type II Diabetes. For years, I out-exercised poor nutrition, but it finally caught up with me. After many doctor visits and tests, I also found out I had chronic inflammation, and very little cartilage in my left hip socket, along with arthritis. I was given the option of steroids and surgery. I asked my doctor if I could first try to lose some weight to see it that would help.

 

This was the wake-up call I needed. I became highly motivated to see if I could dial back diabetes and debilitating inflammation without medicine. Guess what? I did. My rehabilitation is ongoing. I am happy to be walking again, there was a point I wasn’t sure I was going to. Some days, although rarer and farther between, my hip still hurts.

 

Staying healthy is a JOURNEY and I won’t lie, it isn’t easy and takes consistent effort and accountability! This is the reason why I have surrounded myself with all things health!

 

My quest for health lead me to pursue multiple health certifications, and my thirst for knowledge is unending. I can’t even join book clubs because I am always reading about health. 

 

As a life-long learner, you can be guaranteed that I am staying current on new advances in the health and wellness field. I want to share my knowledge with you so you can be the most optimally healthy version of you!
